What kind of surgical procedures are performed at Crowne Point Endoscopy and Surgery Center?

Our specialties include: Endoscopy Procedures (EGD/Colonoscopies), General Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Gynecology, Podiatry, and Urology.  We are expanding our services continuously so if there is a procedure that you are interested in having at our facility, discuss this with your surgeon and we may be able to accommodate your requests.

Do I have a choice of where I can have my outpatient surgery performed?

Yes. Ask your surgeon about his/her experience here at Crowne Point. We are confident that they will highly recommend our facility for your outpatient surgery.

What surgeons can perform outpatient surgeries at Crowne Point?

Many surgeons in Flint and the surrounding areas are eligible to use our facility once they have met our stringent credentialing criteria. This means that patients will have access to surgical care from physicians who are trusted and respected in the community.

Are the operating rooms at Crowne Point equipped like a hospital?

What types of medical insurance do you accept?

Why should I have my outpatient surgery performed at Crowne Point?

From the time you enter Crowne Point to the time of discharge, every step of the way is guided by our professional staff. We tailor everything to the convenience of our patients and their families. We understand that surgery can be stressful enough without having to worry about excessive wait times, conflicting instructions, and a confusing facility layout.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please be sure to bring your insurance cards and photo identification with you the day of your surgery.  Please be sure to leave all valuables at home.  If you have an Advance Directive, please bring a copy with you on the day of surgery.

Can I go home on my own?

No. Upon discharge, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will need to drive you home. Public transportation (bus, taxi, Your Ride) is not an option unless you have a responsible adult traveling with you. The facility will make every effort to accommodate the scheduling needs of our patients and their surgeons so that you may be able to arrange for transportation home.  The only exception to this rule is if you have a procedure in which you receive no sedation and only local anesthetic.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Crowne Point is fully equipped to handle emergencies including cardiac arrest and malignant hyperthermia. In the event of a serious complication, after being stabilized, the patient would be transferred to the hospital your doctor chooses.
